Franck Ribery's name is all over the rumour mills again, with Real Madrid reportedly launching a brand new bid for the French winger. It's said that Real will offer at least 30m Euros plus two of their four Dutch contigent; Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben, Royston Drenthe and Rafael Van der Vaart. If accurate, I can't imagine Bayern not being very tempted by the deal, with opportunity to bring in two world-class midfielders as well as 30m Euros - they'd be mad not to.
However, Bayern Munich coach Luis van Gaal is determined not to let the transfer talk get to the Frenchman's head, indicating that he'll have to fight for him place in the team like every other member of the squad.
After returning to full fitness after missing pre-season due to a knee injury, Van Gaal has warned him that he will not simply walk back into the squad.
"I observe the training sessions and then decide what my team needs," Van Gaal told Kicker magazine. "For me, a big name does not count more than any other."
The saga continues...

It has emerged from the Everton camp today that unhappy defender Joleon Lescott has dropped from the squad that will face Sigma Olomouc in Thursday's Europa League match due to his "poor attitude".
